Do they have to be 'advance' copies - I mean, what if you've already (self-)published your book (as I have)? Or is that covered by other review sites? Will you be looking into that yourself? (And if so, sharing us your experiences?).

Your little excel table was mighty helpful. Thanks.

No, they don't need to be ARCs as far as I know. Basically these sites let you share a free copy of your book to their audiences. After paying for cover / editing costs, I think getting reviews is the most important thing you can spend your money on. Not all the sites are expensive. Voracious Readers gets you 20 readers for free. HOWEVER (and I plan on posting about this after launch), most people will download your book without reading/reviewing it. Some sites send reminders, but part of the point is that the reviews have be given voluntarily or they violate Amazon's / Good Reads / etc's Terms of Service. I have gotten 17 reviews so far (pre-launch) and my book has been downloaded by hundreds of people to give you perspective.
